Restored shooter- Colt .38 Lighting

Bought this at a tiny gun show, maybe 10 tables at most.
It's not much of a collector as all but one serial number has been buffed off, but I sure like it's looks.
Non matching numbers. Frame dates 1878.
I think the restoration probably cost more then the value of the gun.
The color case hardening is awesome. Real stag grips and it was re-blued just right, not too flashy, kind of a age patina. And it functions as it should.

First CF pistol I shot back in 50s. My Dad collected old Colts and I remember going into the local hardware store buying 38 short and long ammo.

Nice revolver. I looked into having a SAA restored at Turnbull's once, and only just once as the cost was $6,000.00 to start.
