RETIRED FROM AUSTIN POLICE DEPT AFTER 27 YEARS...

well fellers I finally retired from the Austin police department after 27 years, last 11 spent in the mental health unit also worked mounted patrol on horses as well as organized crime narcotics...
its been a fun ride but time to hang her up...cant believe its here.... strange feeling turning in all my pd eq.....ready for my next life chapter...still love my s&w's packing my lil model 60 in my pocket and at times still carry my pre 27 3.5 357mag inside a lobo iwb holster... to all leo here "stay safe shoot straight and for gods sake never run in a straight line" TURN 50 MONDAY ON THE 27TH WHAT A BDAY GIFT.

Retired at 50! Where did I go wrong? Good on ya! Sounds like it was a fun job too. I didnt know there would be a special unit just for that. I done similar but didnt get paid for it. ( Had a couple of challanged nephews I monitored.) What cha going to do with the rest of your life?
