Pictured below is my S&W Model 10-5 .38spl revolver made in 1962. It is now a PPC revolver with custom 114mm/4.5" barrel, steel rib and sights.

Does anyone know what brand the rib and sights might be? I am looking for the elevation screw and detent that goes under the screw.
Thanks
Jeff

I removed the rib to check underneath, there are no markings anywhere on the rib, barrel or sights.

Bomar is marked on the side somewhere on their ribs. That looks like an early rib of some sort, probably an Aristocrat. They were originally made for a 6" barrel and the name may have been cut off to shorten it for your gun. It's easier to cut the front sight off then the rear to shorten. You may be able to send pics to whoever makes them now to see if its theirs and if they have the parts. See if you can match the threads with a screw and make it yourself or visit a gunsmith. They have collections of gun screws and may have a ball for the detent.

That is a nice looking gun with the short barrel. Good luck, Larry

There is a thread down below with pics of PPC revolvers, maybe someone has one that looks like yours and has a name in the post of the rib.

Thanks guys. I posted the same thing on canadiangunnutz.com and a member there thinks the rear sight is from the S&W Model 41/51 rimfire pistol. I searched that and did find out they did use what appears to be the identical rear sight of mine on some of those 41 and 51 rimfires.

Might be hard to find one though...

Yes, the Smith and Wesson model 41/46 rim-fire auto loaders did originally use one of the many BOMAR rear sights. However that one is not the same sight as pictured on your rib.

Your sight is closer (but not identical) to the BOMAR sight that was used as the OEM sight on the Smith and Wesson Model 52 Center-fire auto loaders

THAT IS A GUNSMITH MADE SIGHT RIB. I'VE BEEN SHOOTING PPC FOR 30 YEARS. NEVER SAW ONE LIKE THAT WITH THE WINGED FRONT SIGHT AND A MODEL 52 REAR SIGHT. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL CUSTOM LIKE THAT WITH THE 52 REAR SIGHT WITH A SINGLE FRONT SIGHT POST WITHOUT THE WINGS OVER THE YEARS. JP
