Revolver safety disc source

Depending on your cylinder diameter, you should be able to get a hole saw that's close, then choose some material with a thickness that works. The white spacers on the early Marlin rifles were prone to shrinkage, and many were cut out of 5 gallon bucket lids.

They’re sold online by the well known shyster in Sparta, TN who pushes counterfeit boxes and other items. If you want these safety discs he has them for like $15 each!

Where can those (red) plastic safety discs be purchased.

I would call S&W and see if they will send a few to you.

This is probably not exactly what you are looking for, but maybe it will work. Do not use these for dry firing.

These are the equivalent of a chamber flag for semi-autos. You can see that the gun is not loaded, because there is not room for the red or yellow disc and ammo both at the same time.

If you want to dry fire, you can put a small rubber O ring in the frame slot where the hammer falls. The O ring will be formed into an oval shape, which helps hold it in place. This will protect the firing pin, and cylinder on a rimfire.

What is a LGS???? They are disappearing fast. In WNY they are almost non existent

As of now you might be surprised just how many LGS are in this state.(know nothing about NYC!) I live rural and have at least 6 large LGS and many more smaller ones all within a 50 mile radius of my house!

Then you also have the big boxes but I definitely put them in another class!

As long as you don't substitute that plastic disc as a dry fire disc. I think your good to go. Dry firing those disc's cause them to break into small pieces. Using them as safety flags , I think is ok. ( without firing of course)

On my range guns, I keep moonclips with snap caps on. In blue or red to tell me no live rounds are in the gun and at the same time offer dry fire practice .
I also keep speedloaders with snaps on Revolvers without moonclips.

I like them as you say "chamber flags" ... with several revolvers I like seeing the disc as I pick one up. Reminds me to open the cylinder for a visual inspection...(which I do automatically anyway).

I have a 12 year old computer! But don't have a $200 3D printer...so I'll just pay the $.99 and save a few dollars.

My LGS is a mere 10 minutes from my house. Niagara County. He does transfers and has a catalog you can buy from. Awesome guy. An Engineer and Community College teacher besides. PM me if you want his link. Just bought a Revolving Carbine from him yesterday.

I was sad them the Buffalo Gun Center retired and shut their doors. I bought my first shotgun from them in 1968, and many more since then.
