Anybody shot in one of the Ruger Rimfire Challenge matches?
Wondering how the 15-22 would do and what scope if any you used. Looks like it would be fun.

That looks pretty cool and they have a match scheduled for May, close to my house. Thx, I am going to look into it.

pretty sure you have to shoot a ruger in the competition, and I saw many rules broken just from the video. there are supposed to be NO electro sights and when shooting a rifle you are supposed to start with the stock from the hip parallel to the ground. meh, who knows though.

My local range has two gun fun matches for 22s, where the guys use their .22lr training rifles and a .22 hangun and do a bit of run and gun.

The bolt guys like me are trying to get up a .22 Rimfire Tactical Precision Match like they are doing in CA.

I am taking my boy with his friend to the appleseed in April. Looks like a fun place to start. I am also going to check out that Precision Match, that is also my closest range that put that on. I will get some info on new dates for those matches. Thx for the information.

Did a little more checking. The "Challenge" is open to any make 22LR. Most shoot half the day pistols and half rifle. It depends on how large a crowd but there are classes for kids and up to geezers like me. They even had a single action class for the "Cowboy" shooters. The guy I talked too said the challenge is just to have a good time and promote safety and get new shooters in the sport. Anyone can put on a shoot and the "rules" listed are only guidelines until you get to the regional or national "Challenge".
