RIP ammo

O.k, sorry if this was asked already, but has anyone USED, FIRED this G2 RIP ammo ? I've seen the videos on their web sight but just noticed it's for sale at a sporting goods store and at $44 a box of 20....I just want input on it's shooting character, 9MM ?

There are several threads here about this ammo. Unanimous opinion is that it's a gimmick and that the shooter would be much better served with a good one-piece-projectile defensive load from a reputable maker.

$44 bucks for a box of 20!!

Thats outrageous, and it seems like the consensus has it pegged as a gimmick.

$50 would go a long way on much better ammo, IMHO.

Next box of shells I get for my snub will be the Gold Dot 135gr +p short barrel load.

Next to the FBI load which seems to be questionable as found in the major ammo manufacturers offerings in the opinions of folks with more knowledge then me, or just too darned expensive (but not $50 bucks a box of 20 YOWZA!) when loaded by the boutique ammo companies, it seems to be the top choice.

If you were ready and willing to spend that much on a box of ammo, my suggestion would be a box of gold dots and/or a box of the buffalo bore FBI load.
