Road Trip to Tx from Colorado Gun Shops on the way?

Leaving for Kerville Texas in the morning going through New Mexico on US 25 to El Paso and then across US 10 to San Antonio. Looking for gun shops in route and in Texas while there. Probably coming back by a different route.

Tom, when you get to San Antonio, Nagel's Gun Shop is always worth a visit.

And not too far away is La Fonda on Main Street. Excellent food and staff is friendly.

Check out Ron Peterson's in Albuquerque. It's on Central Ave, and if you're going South on I 25, there will be an exit for Central.

There's not much worth stopping for in El Paso.

Colorado Springs has one of the best gun shops I have ever seen.

Too late to reply but if you make another trip through El Paso drop me a PM. El Paso is my home and the Ft. Bliss Rod and Gun Club is my second home.

I was on Range 7 (100 yd rifle) at the Ft Bliss R&G Club with a friend today. We had an M1 and a carbine; great fun. I also frequent Range 6 (pistol), and I'm a member of the 0730 Sunday Morning crowd at Range 3. Got a new Colt Series 70 Gold Cup that I've got to zero, but don't know when I'll get out as things are a little busy for a few days.

If you return through Clayton, New Mexico there used to be a combination gas/food/gun store there. You might be surprised at what they have if they are still in busniness.
