Looking for a RIA/ Armscor #51554 .45 with 6" barrel. Everybody is sold out, Armscor does not have an ETA for next batch...I've tried all their distributors, with zero inventory. This is their no-frills model with no rail and no forward slide serrations...any leads would be appreciated.
Nope, it's not a S&W, but I already have a 952 and PPC9 longslide, and now want an affordable .45 to use as the basis of a DIY semi-custom, and this will be cheaper than starting with Caspian frame/slide and involve less labor.
Wilson, Baer, Nighthawk, Fusion, etc. make some great longslide 1911s, but I don't have a spare $3,000-$5,000 laying around, and it will just be a plinker anyhow. Yes, I have a "thing" for 6" barrels...maybe because I'm a giant and they just feel right to me.
Selling price on this RIA is/was under $1,000, but very hard to find until they run the next batch, which they say could be months.
