Since moving to free America from CA, it's amazing how many guns are available and at excellent prices. Here's a couple I picked-up today.

The Mini-14 is in excellent condition with a weaver 4 power. Came with 3 mags and the sling. I had about 8-10 used Mini's to choose from. This package was $450.

The excellent condition Ruger Blackhawk (I think it dates to around 1972) came with the Bushnell handgun scope, a holster, original box w/paperwork, 1 full box of Rem. .41 mag and 2 boxes of spent shells (I reload .41 mag,). All for $350.

I saw countless Ruger blackhawks in .357 mag today ranging from $310 to $450.

And the best part is I filled out a 4473, gave them my $$, and walked out with my new guns. On the way home I stopped at my local shooting spot and put a few rounds through both.

Freedom is good.

I am green with envy! Where in free America did you move to? I am still plotting my escape from Kommiefornia. Going to Prescott weekend after next to check it out.

Welcome to the real USofA!!
I have two good friends who moved to Idaho from Southern CA about 12 years ago. First visit here they were stunned all one had to do was find some public land with a good backstop and shoot all you wanted to. Plenty available shooting spots within 15 minutes of my house.
Once they got moved up here they just about allowed my LGS owner to retire between the two of them.
Enjoy and appreciate what you have done for yourself!

Moving from California opens a lot of eyes starting with real estate. Congratulations, not having been straight jacketed in California; I am hunting a good deal on a new Ruger Ranch Mini-14 too.

The Ruger's Black's Hawk's revolver is an ideal gun! Congarts!!

I'm hoping to experiance similar things when I go to SC from PRNY in late June.

After moving to NC a few years ago I found it much eaasier to buy guns, no amendments to your PP, and an array of evil AW's banned in NY.
However, at least for me, the gunshops where I lived had a much better selection of used S&W revolvers, and at better prices. I do miss Collector Rifle and Ammo in Hopewell Junction, they seemed to come up with all sorts of goodies. I found 3 legit FBI 13-2's there one day.

KID IN A CANDY STORE?

There are S&W's too, not to take anything away from Ruger. I was (almost) Ruger exclusively when younger. Now more of a, variety is the spice of life, IF the quality is there guy. ;)

Nice Rugers you found there. Gun shopping where you are not looked at like a criminal is fun, enjoy your new freedom.

Rugers

Nice Ruger Rifle and Revolver. Those would
be Neat to shoot. What Fun!

You mentioned you Reload for the 41Rem Mag.
I'm interested about the Reload, what's you
Load'n?

Congratulations on being able to move out of
California. After all I've seen or read about that
State, I couldn't imagine living there.

It is one of Life's Goal to avoid California, have
no reason to go there, and never to visit.
So far I have Succeeded in 59 years.

Prescott Valley is Great. We visit the In-laws/
Outlaws about every Summer. Unfortunately
I have seen the Calif Influence invade there.
Up the road here in Deadwood SD, 60ish old
Gray Haired Woman from Calif tried to run
for Mayor, luckily the Residents seen through
her potential Bad doing/Influence. She had
some really stupid ideas. Not voted in.

The Best to you and your Endeavors.

Congrat's on your new guns and your new found freedom. I escaped from L A in 78, moved to AZ, and spent a lot of time at the Ben Avery range and the Rio Salado Range. You are definitely in a better place.

I just use the publish data from my Lymans 49 Reloading book for Unique powder.

I just went thru Prescott and stopped at J&G Sales. It seems to be a popular destination right now. Unfortunately all the track homes being built are ruining the appeal and beauty.

Reloads from the Manuals

Thank you. I too use, and go to the
Charts in a Manual, pick the Velocity
I want and take a look at the Powder.

So many times I've Chronograph that
Reload and it has been very very close,
right out of the Book.

That Old School Scoped Blackhawk 41
really intrigues me. Please let us know
how it shoots when you go to the Range.

Thank you

Some of my Manuals below.
Got at The Gun Show in Cheyenne WY
last year. To me they are just too Cool.

Dump1567, Glad to hear Arizona agrees with you. I grew up here, and am happy I stayed. Prescott is a victim of it's own success. Used to see herds of Antelope in Prescott Valley, now just roof tops.

I enjoy our occasional visits to California, but admit that as a gun owner and shooter, living there would be difficult for me. When we visit, I always make sure my LEOSA certification and ACLDN insurance are current....
