This took a few moving parts to happen. A wood crafter friend of the family obtained some legally imported Rosewood from Belize. A block of this now protected/restricted treasure was sent to our friend Curtis Harlow (44magget). My wife had this carved into a set of Roper style grips from y 4" 3rd model 44 (Wolf & Klar). The results showed up in my Christmas stocking.

Very nice! What a great Christmas gift from your wife! Beautiful piece of wood and another outstanding job by Curt. My 4" nickel W&K 3rd Model .44 HE (Model of 1926, ca. 1927) wears a set of Grashorn's elk antler stocks. But after looking at yours, perhaps mine needs to occasionally wear a nice pair of wood stocks, too! Enjoy!

I, too, like Grashorn. I have a great set of post war size N SB stags, and a pre war sized N SB walrus ivory that he did for me after I shipped him the ivory from Alaska. Both men do really great work!
