The moon clips for my Ruger SP101 9mm seem flimsy. Who makes aftermarket moon clips for the SP101 9mm that are thicker/stouter? Plus, looking for a cheap demooner tool.

I believe mine were made by Ranch products. I use the same ones for my Ruger, and S&W 940 9mm revolvers. Never had one bend, break, or cause an issue of any kind in the Ruger.

Do you have a product number / code?

Check your local hardware store for a brass or aluminum tube slightly larger in INSIDE diameter than a 9x19s MAXIMUM OUTSIDE (it's tapered) diameter. Cut to handy length with hacksaw or pipe-cutter.

otis24, I use one of Ranch Product's little demooner tools. Don't remember what they cost, but not much.

hoc9sw, I don't have a product number, but Ranch Products has a website.

They say that the Ranch Products moonclips do not work with the new production Sp-101s.

Anyone using moonclips other than the Ruger clips in their current Sp-101?
