On the left side of my 15-3's frame it is marked SCPD. Hopefully the attachment shows it well. Does anybody out there know what this stands for? I am getting tired of people asking me this and not knowing the answer. Thanks for any help here.

Pick one...or if you letter it you might find out by where it shipped.

Saint Charles (IL)
Saint Charles (MI)
Saint Charles (MO)
Saint Clair (MO)
Saint Clairsville (OH)
Saint Cloud (FL)
Saint Cloud (MN)

retrace your steps on who and how the gun was obtained and find clues to associate with SC that makes sense. Then do an email blast to all the possible SCPD's with serial number to that department's armor and see if you get any replies. Make it a homework project. Yes you have to invest time into it.

Yes I agree that it needs to get lettered. I will look into that. I have never done it before. Thanks for the advice and input!

Just so you are aware, the letter of authenticity will show you the ship destination and a nearby city may be "S.C.", but may not tell you the agency that received it, as the rollmark may have applied by the department armorer. And guns can be pretty mobile. :)
