S&W 1911 PC #170258??

I am looking to buy the S&W 1911 PC Model 170258. I cannot see it on the S&W website any longer. Search finds nothing. Anyone heard anything about this one being discontinued?

I have not seen that model on website for some time, though there may be some on gunbroker. I have a model 170261 which is, I believe, identical other than the two-tone finish versus all satin.

Thats what I'm seeing as well. Seems like there should have been some kind of information about it being removed. Searching their (S&W) site yields nothing.

I received a reply from S&W on this model. The following is what I received:

---Yes, that SKU has been discontinued.

---The whole 1911 line is in the midst of multitude of changes.

---The only thing I can suggest is to stay tuned.

I called and got nothing further. I guess maybe something new will be out at the shot show.
