Local LGS knows I like S&W revolvers and were looking for some info/value on a few they are looking to purchase from an estate.

The (2) that belong in this forum are a 1917 45ACP and an I frame 22.

Only have a single picture for each.

1917 appears to be in good condition, but missing the lanyard ring.

The ejector rod and the 22 looks like it has had a nut of some kind added to the end of it. Condition is worn, but appears original nickel.

What would be approximate value of each?

Thanks in advance.

The other (2) are a 28-2 and 13-1, thread in appropriate forum.

Thanks, Wiregrassguy.

I was thinking maybe $1000 for the 1917 but don't know that much about them and know that small things can make a big difference.

LGS said that the 22 was noted as "M frame". These I know nothing about.

$900-1000 for the 1917 sounds about right. Replacement butt swivels are easy to find but will usually be reproductions, not the color casehardened originals.

If the .22 HE functions normally, has unpitted cylinder bores and barrel, and (most importantly) an intact barrel end on the cylinder side (not really a forcing cone), it is probably a $750 gun. Not many survivors in that condition.
