With only 104 of these 8-shot 6.5" Model 27-7s ever in existence, this may well be the rarest S&W production revolver posted on the forum. Original Registered Magnums are plentiful by comparison.
This gun is serial-numbered BNG0003 and is in museum-quality condition. There is the usual turn line, but otherwise the gun is mint. There is no indication this revolver has been fired outside the factory. The gun comes in its original aluminum Performance Center case, with all the usual paperwork. The factory letter is dated June 22, 2006 and signed/initialed by Roy Jinks. It confirms the gun originally shipped from Springfield to Bangers in Birmingham on April 28, 2000.
I previously listed this gun for sale back in 2021 at a higher price level, but it wound up back in my safe. I do not believe there are any other 27-7s listed for sale currently, which is not surprising.
You can buy BNG0003 from me for $3,000 shipped from my FFL to yours.
PRICE LOWERED -- SEE BELOW.
References available.
Thanks,
Mike Carmoney
