What kind of frame is the S&W 29-3 lew horton 3inch.44magnum?is it a K frame?Also where can i get a nice leather holster for one?any favorite brand recommendations?and will pachmyer grips help with the recoil better than wood?Thanks for any tips.

No, that's an N frame.

Grips are so subjective that you will have to try them yourself to see if you like them. Example: Many people swear by Pachmeyers but I don't care for them. Technique helps more with recoil than grips, in my opinion. People want the control the M29 (i.e., prevent the muzzle from rising) and thus grip very tightly with both hands. It will pound you when you do that. My opinion is that if you let the gun recoil naturally, the factory grips are fine.

Optics Planet has Bianchi holsters fairly reasonable. The 5BHL would be good.
 
I agree with cp1969, 70% of your grip is in the off hand so don't over grip with the strong hand, this will greatly improve accuracy. I like the factory grips the best myself. They look perfect too!!! You might know this but, get your strong hand as high on the backstrap as possible without getting hit by the hammer. Wait, just watch this.
