S&W 3000 shotguns

A NE Georgia gun shop had about 1/2 dozen of these on a shelf today. Both wood and synthetic stock versions, priced at $299.99. Please P.M. me for the shop info if these interest you.

Well, they are down one. Got it today after visiting it on the shelf several times. Appears unissued. Excellent grouping with Federal Flitecontrol 00buck.

Howa made some pretty good M 1 carbines for Thailand also.

I was told the 3000 is basically a clone of the Browning BPS. Anyone else heard that?

Wasn't the BPS a bottom eject like the Ithaca 37?

Yes the BPS was bottom eject, the S&W 3000, in my fading memory, was more like the Remington 870, twin draw bars, side eject, etc.

SmithNut is correct. the S&W M3000 pump shotguns were made much like Remington 870's, but the parts don't interchange, except maybe the stocks.
I have (2) 3000's and looked at one of them to be certain.

Solid guns as I recall. As was said earlier, if Howa made it you can't go wrong.

And yes, definitely side ejection, very 870 like.
