S&W 32 Long Target?

If it's not a complete beater, I'd snap that up at $750. Target I frame .32's are very uncommon.

Got a picture? I suspect a reblue or you just walked into a great deal.

Edit: The target grips would be correct for that gun.

Sounds like a rare opportunity!

I'd say "Go for the Gusto!" and post us some pictures soon as you get home!

I'd love to have one of those myself..!

Were the gold medallion grips put on 1903 I frames? I thought those came along in 1910. We need some pictures after you buy it. :D

I think it's the model (RB), not the year. The one pictured in SCSW has target grips with gold medallions. We'll need a S/N for a date

Heck, for $750, I'd buy it if it had Franzites. :D

I paid twice that for mine, and that was nearly 10 years ago! Yes, it's a very good deal. I hope you got/get back before somebody else figures out what a bargain price that is.

Depends on which change Mod 1903 it is. The Model 1903 3rd and 4th changes were still produced in 1910, and there's always some late shippers. You're right, the gold med on stocks began about mid-1910. So it's possible.

Let me add my name to the "Go buy it now!" list before the seller has a chance to slip in a "1" between the dollar sign and the seven. If I had seen a .32 HE 2nd Model Target like the one you describe, it would have been on my photo bench that evening and you all would be reading another gloat thread from me right now.

The gun angel who usually gives me straight dope (but who can also be an impish tease on occasion) just whispered in my ear that the serial number probably lies between 120000 and 258000; if she's on her game this morning, the gun would have shipped between 1911 and 1917. Please let me know if she's just goofing with me. And yes, we all want to see photos when you have a chance.
