I have one of the 327R8 revolvers, along with a few moon clips. I find that the 38 special and 357 magnum rounds jiggle a lot in the moon clips, and therefore do not help too much toward a fast reload. My question is: is there any brand of moon clip that holds the rounds tighter so that I can reload easier?
Any comments will be welcomed. Thanks.

Yes, hearthco moonclips you can get them at tkcustom.com they are pretty spendy but these are the best. Be aware since there is no SAAMI standard for the groove you need to match brass manufacturer with specific moonclips.

Tom is an A+ guy to deal with at TK, I got sent the wrong moonclips one time and with a quick email, he replied instantly with an apology. He then sent out the correct moonclips the next day with a prepaid mailer and said when I get the new ones mail the incorrect ones back. Had a been a character of low moral fiber I might have been tempted to keep the $200 in extra moonclips, but I'm not and I'll be a repeat customer.

agree with the floppy issue on moonclips.....I have some well-used cheapies for my 627 that provide a LOT of wobble....especially in the longer 357 cases.

In my own use, I've managed to adapt my insert style a bit to minimize that wobble....and in reality, it is not the moon clip that adds all that much to my time anyway....most stages in ICORE at my range are neutral to any advantage to 8 shot loads anyway.

Yes it IS annoying, and remedy IS far more spendy than I have budgeted for such recreation.

If you're interested I could share my modified insertion method that does help 'some' on the wobbly issue.
