hi folks,
question, love them 3rd gens, on the 3913, can the decock be replaced to the left side, for a right hand shooter? now it sticks out on both sides. is there a part# for this? thanks sw dan

The "ambi" (two sided) safety can be replaced by a single sided (left side only) safety from any 2nd/3rd gen 9mm (single/double stack) or 40s&w (double stack).

Also, the right side lever can be removed from the ambi safety, but the safety will still protrude out the right side.

hey john,
can the decock (ambi) just be taken off on the right side?

Yes.

Use an unbent paper clip to depress the plunger through the small hole in the center of the right side lever, then slide the lever off to the front.

Keep your thumb over the plunger as you slide the lever off or the plunger and spring will launch.

It gets more interesting when you want a left-handed only safety. Some of the righty-mighties get all pinchy faced when a gun doesn't automatically cater to their dominance.
