S&W 4006

I have an oppurtunity to buy a 4006, 1 owner, but it has 6 8/32 tapped holes on the front of the frame. Will this weaken the frame, should I stay away from it, any way to repair it, what do you think? These were put in for a red dot sight at some point.

Depending on what the guy wants for it...? You can get these for under $350 now. I paid $427 for mine. But there are a huge number of these being replaced in CA and elswhere in the various police and highway patroling agencies... get one that's nice unless this one is particularly accurate or cheap....
