Opinions on trading a Ruger American 45 for a S&W 410s. What do you guys think ?

I'd do it but I like them and have dozens of magazines for them. But I bought mine several years ago when they were $200+/-

The 410 was part of the S&W Value Line of pistols. Not all parts interchange with their standard line of pistols. Slides, barrels and sights in the Value Line were quite different from those in the standard line.

Alloy frame, single sided safety. Both pluses. Really poor blueing finish on slide, not many options for night sights, negative.

11 round mags can still be found for decent prices used. Uses same mag as 4006/4003 line.

Thanks everyone but I just found out he sold it on me. Probably for the better than dealing with someone like that. But I think i will continue to search for gen 3's

4003/4006 are plentiful on the used gun market as 40S&W is not as desirable as it used to be in the 1990s when every police dept. carried them and the public followed suit.
