S&W 5906 Novak Sight Dimensions

Hello, all!

I recently picked up a set of Dawson Precision sights for my S&W 5906. I was under the impression that the 5906 and the E-Series 1911 feature the same sight dovetail. In reality, they are close, but not exact. The front sight was a perfect fit, but the rear sight is not.

Does anyone know what the exact dimensions of the 5906 Novak rear sight dovetail are, and/or if Dawson (or anyone else, really) offers a blacked out serrated rear sight that is compatible with the 5906?

In terms of sight picture, they are perfect. I just need a rear sight that fits the dovetail. Preferably one that is blacked out and serrated.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

I'd contact Dawson. I've used some of their standard sights without issue, but they can do custom too.
