Sometimes you get lucky at the auction sites. Managed to find this for the grand total of $850. Santa Claus must have heard me! Literally has everything I would want in a revolver, chamfered numbered chambers, 6 lb action job, ball detent in the crane, the works! I just added the culina grips and a SDM front sight. Honestly the closest I've found is Harrison custom, order a Dawson pinned front sight and he will install a gold bead for you.

I have a M29-2 with similar treatment as that of the OP’s revolver. One gun that will never leave, along with the Ruger #5 44Special Ron built for me. He is definitely sorely missed.

Evidently the owner of SDM is retiring and closing shop, so no more new gold bead sights will be made
