Hello to all.
I picked up a very nice 940-1 this morning.
Came with box, papers, and 16 moon clips.
It has a 2" barrel and serial # is BRR99XX
Was wondering if some one could tell me
what it is worth?
I am hoping I did not pay to much.
Thanks in advance,
Charlie

Congratulations on your 940, the prices on them seem to be all over the place. I would really like to have one but I haven't found the right deal yet.

The last few I've seen sell went for north of $700. I think you did okay.

The 940 is a great gun. I have a 2" and a 3". I'm not certain what a Ruger is worth but I don't think you paid too much especially since you have the box, etc with it. Shoot it and enjoy it!!

Saw one yesterday morning at an out of state gun show for $799. Very clean with the box. Had it been in my state I would have given it a new home.

The price you paid and the gun you decided to trade will long be forgotten after you have some range time with your new gun.
I think you did great. Enjoy it and never look back.

Congrats on the 940-1 crystal river charlie

Sounds like you did just fine on the trade+cash
The LCR is just one of those revolvers that because it's different just doesn't do it for me, I like it's grip & think it could be modified to work on a SP101 by drilling/tapping the bottom of the frames grip stub..
You're gonna love the 940-1, They are very robust & snappy when fired, Not as much recoil as a 640-1 357 but a bit more than a 640 38spl+p
I've had 3 940s & plan on picking another up as soon as the financial advisors allow..
They make a great bug & a lot easier to carry than a full sized revolver or pistol, IMO a J frame snub is the perfect carry gun, Not too small & not too large = Just perfect..
