OK, so I found this mint 945 at the local shop and I thought I got a great deal on it for $1100...That was last year...so now, trying to sell this because of other interetsts and there just seems to be zero interest in these guns...Have they lost their luster?

I would think the economy has more to do with it. Then a loss of interest in the 945.

Shoot me an email, to the address in my profile, if you are really interested in selling it. I have been looking for 945 with no dash number.

Bill

I collect Performance Center pistols; they're my favorite S&W semi-autos.

I do already have a first-run 945, though.

I also think it's probably the economy right now; gun sales in general are fairly flat.

Bill- email sent.

I agree and I also think that a standard 1911 for $750 is a good, accurate gun for the $.

I don't know, that's $150 more than I paid total for a 1006 and 1076 in 99%+ condition, each with its two original magazines, on consignment last month. The 945 is pretty, but I think there are better ways to spend all that cash. But that's me. I mean some folks would think I'm a fool for spending all that I do on collector grade M1 Garands. So, . . . to each his own

Hey, my 500th post. Wow.

If you don't think that the Model 945 is worth the price, it is because you haven't shot one!

In full disclosure, I have not shot one. I mean I can't shoot every gun on the market; I would like to, but I can't. That said, it may be more than worth it, but apparently not to everyone. Besides since folks seem to think it's so worth it, this discussion is probably moot be because it's probably sold now . . .

Now that I think of it, I believe I've seen a couple over the past few weeks in counters priced in the $1,700 range.

Of course, that was in the counter and not going out the door.

I guess I'm a little slow tonight, but I figure if it's so worth it, the cash ought to be flying out of the wallets, right?

Oh, don't mind me, I'm just one of those bitter Americans clinging to my guns and religion . . .

I don't think there's a loss of interest. It's a matter of patience for some buyers. I just bought a 945 for $880 OTD

The market seems to be flooded with Full size 945's.

Hey MXCagg! Would you consider a partial trade and cash?
Like everyonbe else I am a little short of cash, but do have some hardware.
I have a real nice 4506, or 4566 or 1006.
I aint giving up all of them but for the right price I'd be willing to trade for a 945.
Just let me know.
Take care and God bless...HT

Thanks Hot Toddy for the offer. Not looking for any trades right now. Trying to fund another hobby I started a few months ago.
