To replace the SN EAA XXXX addressing the take down pin backing out while firing issue...
After 500 rounds through my new Bodyguard .380 and allowing another shooter try it out at a class last September, he experienced the take down lever backing out. This is one major issue that has risen with this gun. Upon reading on another web site devoted to the BG.380 where S&W has been reissuing new frames SN EAB to replace SN EAA... time to send mine in (last Oct. 4) I got the call back from the S&W tech that I was getting the new frame. I picked up my *new gun* last Friday and put about 75 rounds through it without lubing it from S&W. Ran flawlessly. I think S&W is addressing the take down pin issue *quietly*. I did get an extra mag free, and they are reimbursing the transfer. I am happy because I really like this .380 waay over the LCP for many reasons. My CS experience with S&W was excellent.
