S &W box's

Does any one know of a source that would identifly S & W box's and the years they were used?

The following three sources are the best, but in no order:

• The Standard Catalog of S&W vol. 3 which is recommended to anyone in the field of collecting
• Joining the Smith & Wesson Collector's Association. Members have access to many resources.
• The S&W Forum.

Post some pictures, and the knowledgeable member base is more than likely to identify them.

Plus, we love pictures!!!

Don't do it LVBob!!!

I bought that ol' Standard Catalog of S&W and started collecting BOXES to go with the revolvers!
Now even THEY cost a fortune.

Nice 'batch' pictured above....... nothing "carved in stone" pretty much the changes when "ownership" changed , re 'label of the address and box styles...the books cover much of it, but there are always overruns, and stuff shipped "later" ( they tried NOT to throw anything out, but use it, mainly in reshipping, serviced guns, and of course "relabel( stickers) over the box ends...............but you can always "ask"............just when we "think" we may have it figured out, along comes a "variation"..........so never say never, and save YOUR boxes........
