I have to give customer service a huge attaboy. Needed a part for my SD9VE and couldn't find it anywhere, not even on the S&W website. Sent them an email Sunday night and recieved an email from them Tuesday. Got my part taken care of way quicker than I ever imagined! Kudos to the folks that handled this for me.

Getting small parts they have in stock is not a problem with S&W. The flip-side to this is their in-house customer service has been problematic. I sent a 5967 to them for the hammer following the slide into battery during firing. It had an improperly sized sear and a consummately improperly fit sear release. It also had a cracked grip under recall. They sent it back with a new sear but the same problem AND put on decocker style grips on my decidedly non-decocker pistol. I had to wait eight weeks as well for them to essentially make it more wrong than when I sent it. Replacement grips were on Ebay and Numrich had new sear arms. I now have a properly functioning pistol that looks great, given the condition it was in when I got it (caked in human blood and not cleaned as it was obviously used as evidence in a crime). Now it looks and works like a safe queen.

My overall experience has been very good with CS. But...I have a new M&P that is going back and it will take 10-12 weeks! I know the current state of things is not all their fault but still...I didn't put it on layaway. It was to be a gift for may Dad so I just ordered another one and had it in 3 days. I guess I'll have the first one back at some point in the spring.
