S&W Hi-Power

I don't know if there are patent issues or other legal entanglements, but I would love to see S&W produce a line of Hi-Power semi-autos in 9mm, 357sig, and 40s&w. I'd definitely pick one up if the came out with one. Maybe a brushed or matte stainless with a rugged rear sight like the ones on the NightGuard revolver series, but a little more low profile. They could also leave off the magazine disconnect, thank you. I'd rather have the nasty little hole than the mag disconnect.

You've pretty much described my Browning Hi-Power Practical (chrome slide and all), which has the Cylinder and Slide combat trigger assembly (no mag disconnector) installed. About 5# trigger pull and very crisp.
