Hello-
I have been gifted a 1960's era S&W M&P .38 special , Mod 10-1, serial # C 461***. The extractor had been damaged. I ordered another thru Numrich gun parts for a model 10-1. But the star of the replacement was thicker 27/128 vs 3/16. It is a difference of about 3/128. Not much but it seems to affect the cylinder closing.
Also the new extractor overall length may have been too short, as the center pin seemed to extended further out of the extractor than previously. Is there a parts schematic that has the part specifications? ie dimensions / length of extractor and extractor rod??
Any guidance on where / how I could replace the extractor and have it operational again would be appreciated. Thank you.
