I am intrigued with the M&P9PRO. What level of accuracy has any user experienced with this model at 50 feet and 25 yards?

My experience has been very good. Off a pistol rest, my Pro longslide will group the same or better than the Glock 34 it replaced.

In the real world of shooting IDPA or USPSA matches, it will shoot A-zone hits at 25 yards if I do my part. When I don't (usually) it is good for C-zones easily.

d625, since none of us know how well you shoot with your Glock maybe some numbers would give everyone an idea of the guns potential. Unless of course you don't want to release those numbers.

Matt, seems like every time I make assumptions, I am wrong.

Tell me what "numbers" you need and I will post them. Unless, of course, they are too embarrassing.

Just curious about how well you shot the Glock so that would be group (3, 5 or 10 round) sizes. Nothing to revealing I hope.

Matt, I can give you an idea about the accuracy of my Smith, which is close enough to my Glock that I can't tell the difference.

Just to explain without boring everyone to death, I do not have the interest, patience or eyesight to shoot bullseye type stuff, so I tend to look at groups as good or not good enough without really measuring. I am interested in A-zones, not bullseyes.

I looked at a USPSA target I shot last month to verify the POI. This was 20-25 yards off a rest, but remember I was shooting at COM, not a bullseye, so there obviously a variation of sight picture between shots. Two 5-round groups were right at 4", ignoring the farthest out shot brought both groups closer to 3".

At 7-10 yds, it will easily group 1"-2" off a rest shooting at a Redfield sight-in target.

Of course, in the real world, when the buzzer sounds, my brain disconnects and I can't do these kinds of groups offhand. But, as long as I can hit mostly A-zones and all the 6" plates, life is good.

Got the following with mine, hand held on MTM rest at 25 yards. First number is 5-shot group, measured center to center to nearest 0.05"; measurement in parentheses is best 3, which I've found over the years factors out enough human error to come pretty close to what same gun will do for 5 rounds from machine rest.

Black Hills 124 grain JHP: 2.50" (1.15")

Federal 115 grain JHP, code 9BP: 2.65" (0.95")

Winchester 147 grain JHP: 2.85" (1.55")

Hope this helps.

Thanks for chiming in with some stats Mas. That is better than I would have expected from a plastic service pistol. I have to say, even though I am not a huge fan of plastic, striker-fired, pistols, I am intrigued by the M&PPRO.

My older S&W Model 99 as well as Walther P99QA will consistently shoot 10 shot groups of 2inches at 50 ft with a wide variety of ammunition. I hope that the M&P Pro will do as well.

I don't want to get in the middle of the pissing match but all the same have to say my M&P 45 shoots a clean 3" patern at 25'. I don't compete but shoot often enough this is the right gun to TCB at home and one I carry.
