S&W M52 Refurbish

Regrettably my basement flooded a little while back. My M52 was wetted, resulting in light surface rust. Will/does S&W refurbish guns?

I'd like them (or someone) tp go through it in detail to ensure there's no hidden rust and re-blue it.

Any ballpark prices or recommendations on who to send it to?

I can guarantee you that the current S&W black oxide finish will not look like what they used on your Model 52.

To OP, the same thing happened to a friend of mine. I pulled the grips and submerged the complete gun in Kroll for a few weeks. Pulled it out and ragged it and just worked the action. The bore came back shiney and shot it. Still shoots good.

I don't think there is any mechanical damage, just surface rust.

Kroil bath for a few weeks, shoot something else in the meantime and just Don't think about it because then you'll keep peeking and want to do something to accelerate things. That could prove to be worse if you try to rush things.
The Kroil always comes in handy for other things or other guns, Amazon has the best deal and it's in stock.
