I have an opportunity to purchase a Mod 27-9 N-Frame .357 with a 6.5" barrel. It appears to be in unused/very good condition with original box/manuals. If I buy this, What would the fair street price be? I am just starting to research this model of S&W. Thanks

There aren't any recent sales of used 6.5" 27-9s on Gunbroker besides a 75th Anniversary Edition that went for $1075. Basic 6.5" models with bids starting at $765 have failed to sell. 4" models are selling for $5-700.

Sounds like we are talking about the current production Model 27 Classic, which has an MSRP of $1249. Locally, I see these with a sticker price of $1150-$1190. Given that the one you are looking at is used, but in excellent condition, I'd say somewhere around $900.

Prices for Model 27s can vary all over the place, depending on where you are. The newer guns here on the Left Coast will bring between $950 and $1150, depending on whether it has the box and tools, etc. In any event, having one is a mark of distinction, showing good taste and an appreciation for good work. At least that's what I tell my wife....

Yall aren’t going to believe this. It’s true though. My buddy looks on cabelas online for their gun room.. the nicer stuff. Some store sold a 3.5inch 27 for 499 because it rust on the grip frame. It even had targets on it. FOUR NINETY 9!!!!! He couldn’t call fast enough.. it was gone Dude said “yeah we screwed up on that one”
