Gleaned from the web: Probably made in 1864 or 1865; probably shipped to J W Storr, NYC (S&W's sole agent until 1868). Does anyone have a more accurate history? USA Sep 15, 2013 #2 The only one that's likely to have more history is Roy JInks, S&W Factory Historian. Yes, J.W.Storr's was the likely distributor, however Roy can give you a possible Civil War era ship date if you get a Factory Historical letter for the gun. Ed.
