S&W Model 10 with 2.5" Bull Barrel

I snagged one of the lesser known Michigan State Police/FBI contract model 10's with the 2 inch bull barrel. How often do these guys pop up?

They are rare. I have never seen one in person and have only seen a half dozen or so on the internet.

I didn't know much about them but I saw the snub bull barrel and was drawn in

I really really like it. At first look of your pic, I thought a 3", but the extractor rod looks shorter than a 3". Enjoy.

Well at first I'm like this is way too much for a model 10, but after a bit of research I was like yeahhh maybe I shouldn't let this go. Turns out there was half a dozen people next in line. I wish it had the box but hey

Congratulations, that was a good buy. A dealer had several MSP surplus 2.5" Model 10's at the Oaks Pa gun show back in February for around the price you paid. I decided to walk the rest of the show, when I went back they were spoken for. D'oh!!! If I ever run across another I won't make the same mistake.

Yessir. Less than 800 were made for the FBI and MSP in this configuration from factory
