I think the 24-3 was made 1983-84. I think they made 5,500 of them. The 3 letter serials started in 1982 at AAA.

They made a whole bunch of M24-3's in that brief time frame, and in all kinds of barrel lengths. BTW, the first use of triple-alpha/four-numeric s/n's began in 1980.
