S&W model 25-5

Hello I am looking at a model 25-5 in 45LC ,on gun broker it has a 6 inch barrel,
comes with the box and paperwork and is in excellent condition.
it appears to be a 1984 serial# AJS82XX any idea what it's worth

If it's to be used as a shooter, I wouldn't buy one unless I could check the chamber throat dimensions. Assuming that passes muster - $575 - $775.

I am sorry, but I will have to disagree on your suggested price. Have you seen what sells for 600 bucks these days? If the gun is as you describe it is easily at the higher end of the scale and 775-800 would be a fairly good deal. I have one that is the same, nib orginal owner stated it was never shot and it looks it. I got it a t a really good price so if you can nab it for for unde 800 then you got a good deal. And with the model year and serial numbers you are listing you should not have any problem with the throat dimensions. Would be nice to measure them or have the seller measure them but your risk is much smaller than if it were a 25-2.
