Gentlemen, a good friend has put me on to an S&W Model 32 Terrier with 2" bbl. Gun is factory nickel, .38 S&W cal. Also has non-factory mother of pearl grips, factory box and papers. My bud says that in his estimation the finish is about 97%. It is fitted with a King hammer and manufactured in 1951. Serial number is 779xx. I hope to take a look at the gun this weekend. Would someone help me out on a price check, please? Any and all opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Bill

IMO, an original 5 screw nickel Terrier in 97-98% without grips I would estimate to be "at least" $500 to $600 by itself with another $100 for a correct red box. I have one in that serial range with the correct box (and correct grips) that I would value at $750 if I were selling it.

I've also seen that gun and have made them a reasonable cash offer. The manager insists that it is worth every bit of the asking price of $799. It has been on the shelf for more than six months at that price.

It is a pre-32 4 screw with a replacement hammer that rubs on the frame. The after market grips are in decent shape but all said I'd be hard pressed to call it a 97% gun. It would make a nice shooter. Good Luck!
