S&W Model 41 date of manufacture

Hello, I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help with the date of manufacture of a model 41 S/N UAH585X.

I've had this pistol about 5 years and any help is appreciated.

I'll take a guess and say 1997 or a little earlier. We need Tom to answer this. Hopefully he'll be along shortly.

LoCo Weed - would agree 1997 era - this more is the Supica area of knowledge Aware of a UAP shipped in 1997

Tom and LoCo Weed......thanks for the info.........I didn't know I could call S&W and just ask but the date is 1994.........I'm not sure if this is a good date but the pistol is a tac driver. thanks again....

Interesting - Supica is the best we have for the newer stuff - S&W (Jinks) has ship dates. Where it gets fun, the frame batches are processed last in - first out, so in a slow moving inventory, it gets interesting trying to match SN and ship/mfg dates. 41s are somewhat slow movers due to cost over last few years. First "that far off -early" I am aware of on Supica data.
