S&W Model 60-15 PRO

The Model 60 Pro is a wonderful revolver. I liked it from the first moment I saw it.

Heck 357 Magnum ammunition is a handful for lots of people even in the Model 19/66 revolvers

I have had mine for a dozen or more years.

It is accurate with a good set of adjustable sights. It even comes with a nice set of grips

Interesting, mine does not say "Pro Series" on it even though it is

I bought one because i have 2 686 ssr and 627 pc 5".I don't shoot it alot but it is suprisingly accurate for a small frame gun.38 special +p is comfortable out of it and golden sabers are very accurate and not to uncomfortable. If i were to carry it i would probably get some culina combat's for it.It has one of the better triggers of j frames i have shot.

I have the 60-10 3". One of my favorites and if I didn't have it I'd get a 60-15 pro. I think you will enjoy it.

Gorgeous.

I think the 3" barrel J frames are one of the prettiest guns that Smith & Wesson has ever produced. Probably not a coincidence for me, since the Model 1 also had a 3" (technically 3 3/16") barrel.

I've had a 60-15 for a number of years now. I bought it as a carry gun, but it got replaced by my 640-1 when I got it.

No fault of the 60-15 though. I still use it when hiking in the woods. I keep it loaded with some 158 grain .357's with a pointed tip that my father-in-law reloaded and gave me.

If you buy one, keep an eye on all the screws as they have a tendency to loosen while shooting, especially the one holding the rear sight assembly on and the cylinder release.

Very accurate and fun to shoot little gun!

I have a 60-15 and it is accurate, easy to pack. 357s are doable with confidence. All screws on revolvers backout due to the physics of recoil. Should check all sideplate screws on a regular basis. I check mine after a shooting session.

I had one and foolishly traded it for a nice 19-3 thinking I was coming out money ahead. Turns out all I did was trade my favorite woods gun for a safe queen. Live and learn. I will eventually buy another.

60,66,686.
You wont be disappointed.
Bonus wife and kids have a really good time with the 60 and wadcutters. Just leave the 357 in the ammo box

buy it you will never regret it.
shoot 38's .
great training gun for women and kids and 500% better than a 2" 642 for shooting.

I was not happy with my original front sight. I always had a hard time focusing on ramp fronts. I swapped mine out for a fiber optic and liked it much better. I would have loved to find a patridge style but couldn't.

Love mine. I did put a very light brushing of clear nail polish on the screw threads of the sight retaining screw. I have a Galco Stinger holster for it, and Herrett's Detective stocks. I have no idea what it's like to shoot .357's in it, and doubt I ever will. ;-)

The sights make this a really shootable J Frame. The front sight on the older models is really narrow, and gets thinner every year I get older. But the 60-15 with its adjustable sights makes a world of difference!

I perfer the regular 60 3" over the Pro. I am not a fan of the pointless ejection rod window, the angular cut on the under lug, or the cheap Taurus level budget beadblast finish instead of the brushed stainless. The beadblast finish will show every scratch, and cannot easily be buffed out.

I had the opportunity to purchase a 60 Pro, but there's really nothing "pro" about it. If it had the 640 Pro sights and was cut for moon clips like the 640 Pro, the 686 Performance, and the 627 Performance, then I'd suggest the 60 Pro.
