Does anybody know anything about the S&W Model 916A Stainless Steel Shotgun. This guns is clean as new. Just don't know anything about them. What is a reasonable price to ask for it. Other than not have the box, and paperwork, this gun is clean as new. I see some on gunbrokers, but they aren't stainless steel. This would make somebody a great gun, just trying to sell it for a man.

Are you sure it is not a 916 ? If so, in my experience, that was one of the worse shotguns ever to be attached to law enforcement... first shotgun I was ever issued and I got it new. Fail to fire, would not pick up a round out of the magazine and then would try to load 2 rounds at times. Trying to shoot a shotgun course with that thing was a nightmare. We sent them back for service and S&W said they could not be fixed and sent a refund for the whole batch and then we bought 870's.

The S&W 916 was the same gun that had previously been sold as the
Noble. It is not a highly regarded design. You could go by GB prices
or if you can't find any stainless guns sold to go by just list it on GB
with a low starting price and let the bidders set the price.

My first shotgun bought by my Dad for about $125 in the late 1970's. Hands down the biggest piece of junk I ever owned. Use to peel the brass off shells when feeding. I sent that gun back to S&W at least 3 times. When I finally saved up enough money I bought a used 870 Wingmaster. WOW what a Great day that was, I really hated that 916, to me at least its worth about my 2 cents.
