Mr2A,

Welcome to the forum. There are three models of the PC327. They are as follows 327 R8, 327 TRR and a 327 JM. If its like all the other S&W PC firearms they are very good. I own a 327 TRR and a 327 JM but have never fired either.

Sincerely,

How can you own a gun without shooting it? That's first priority for me when I purchase a gun.

Unless, it's a collector's gun. But then I don't buy those.

Then there is the non-PC Shop 'Night Guard' 327 - the 27.6 oz 327NG SKU #163422, MSRP $1,185. It has an Al/Sc alloy frame and SS barrel liner and cylinder. It's fixed rear and Nght Sight front sight combine with it's all black NG coloring to make it an evil carry gun, I suppose. Of course, I opted for the same MSRP to get the re-issued 2 5/8" 37.6 oz all SS PC627 SKU #170133 - and I love it - almost as much as my 4" 627 Pro!

I purchased the S&W 327 PC JM version with 5 inch titanium shrouded steel barrel, titanium cylinder and alloy frame. I have only shot it in steel plate ,ICORE and USPSA matches with light 38 Special loads. Very accurate, comes back on target somewhat faster than my 627 PC and the Walther steel barrel liner cleans up with minimal effort.

TSQUARED,

I think you own a PC 327 JM that shoots 38 Special and not a PC 329 JM that shoots a 38 Special. I collect Smith & Wesson Performance Center firearms and have done so for years. I will shoot them only if i have the desire to do so, but I do understand where you are coming from.

Thanks for finding the typo, I meant a 327 PC JM.
