LGS has a nice pre-34, 2 inch. I have always wanted one but don't know too much about them. This once has a flat latch, magna diamond grips and has target (adj) sights, target hammer and target trigger. Gun is all of 98%, looks to be barely fired. They are looking for $950. Any opinions on price? Sorry don't have any photo's to share and no box.

Seems high to me and I live in CA where the prices run high. I buy shooters, not collectors, so my idea of reasonable is maybe warped, but it still seems high to me. I recently bought a very nice, very clean 34-2 here in CA for $500.

They looked on Gunbroker.com for pricing. On a national stage it might garner that price, but in the average LGS it might sit for a long time at $950. It also might sit for $750. It's a niche gun in a niche category.

thanks. Prices seems all over the place, hard for me to determine fair value.

I am going to see if I can work this guy down, otherwise I'll just have to look else where. I have a pretty good idea what I want to pay for a model 34, just wasn't sure of the pre-34's carried a larger premium or not. I did search GB for a 2 inch pre-34, didn't see much.

Not a big premium, no, maybe 10%. Prewar and postwar transitional Kit Guns, absolutely, but I would consider them in a completely different collecting category.
