S&W revolver factory boxes

Just a few questions. First of all I just purchased my first new S&W model 629 last week. What year did the factory transition from the traditional cardboard box to the current blue plastic clamshell style box? I had a model 29 bought new approximately back in 1989 which had the cardboard box. I have been out of the loop for 30 years! Also, is it possible to find late 80's era boxes for sale at a reasonable price and in good condition? Or would this be looking for a needle in a haystack? Thank you all for your information! I don't remember when they went to the current boxes, I seldom buy anything newer than mfgd in the 80s. But boxes are put up for sale in the for sale area of this forum. Prices vary but sooner or later one pops up. There is also a want to buy section. I was told e-bay has boxes for sale.
