Back in 1982 I purchased a new model 19-4 6" with TT, TH, red ramp/white outline sights. Back in those days when I bought a revolver I always bought a holster with them.

Do these old S&W holsters have any value? I've since sold the 19-4 but use the holster for my Colt Officers Model Target. But I'm curious if the old holsters have any value.

I have a few from that time period and they were quality leather, and well made. In good condition they should hold some value. I believe Smith & Wesson contracted them out from Gould & Goodrich, which are still around today.

Generally not much. They typically sell for $20-50 online, there are a very few models and examples that are considered collectible.

As you already know, they’re reliable using holsters.

I bought one at the S&W Retail Store in Springfield for a 2 1/2" Model 66 because I liked the look of it so much.

Then I bought the gun to fit in it a month later.

I know bass ackwords but it served me well. The G&G is gone but the 66 is a keeper. Thank goodness that holster came along or I may never have bought the gun.

As stated above, most are not really collector items, but serviceable leather. Easily found on EBay for not a lot of money. Here is a S&W branded holster I bought on EBay for my Model 10-5.

Do you happen to have a photo of the back of that
holster you could post. I would like to see it if so.
Thanks, Phil

The B of course is for black. The 02 model is for Off Duty, which doesn't
make a lot of sense. It looks like it could have been for duty as well.
And of course you are right on with the fit. 34 is for the K frame such
as model 10 with 4" barrel. I've been looking for one similar for my study
of Clarino. I think the S&W's have CL after the fit code if they are made
with Clarino. You got a nice one.

P.S. I can see the influence of Wally Wolfram in the cut of that belt
loop. S&W inherited his Blazer line.
