IM BUYING A 2ND MODEL UBERTI SCHOFIELD REVOLVER..I HAVE A QUESTION:
THIS REVOLVER IS CHAMBERED FOR THE S&W SCHOFIELD .45..WHICH IS A SHORTER CASE THAN THE .45 COLT.
SO CAN I SHOOT THE .45 COLT IN HER AS WELL?

PROBABLY NOT

Jim: If it's chambered in .45 Schofield, a shorter cartridge as you observed, then the longer 45LC probably won't fully seat in the cylinder. Simple enough to find out, if you can get your hands on one LC case. It wouldn't need to be loaded, but should be run thru a sizer die first.

I've done just the opposite. Loaded & fired Schofield cartridges in my 3rd Gen Colt chambered in 45LC.

Don't bemoan the shorter Schofield case. Load it for comfortable recoil & it's very pleasant to shoot.

Best, Hank M.

The current Uberti Schofield is chambered in .38 Special, .44 Russian, .44-40 and .45 Colt; I don't think it was made in .45 Schofield. If you made the gun with a full-length cylinder (.44-40 is 33.3 mm, .45 Colt is 35 mm, Schofield is 23 mm), chambering it for a round that is not generally available would seem to be bad marketing :).
