today I found a new looking SD 9mm for $340 in the box with extra mags.I have never had one are they good gun and worth that?

How many extra mags? They are like $35-40 from what I've seen so sounds like a good deal if it has 3-4 mags.

Looks can be deceiving & that sounds higher than new price.
around $319 & comes with 2 mags. I would go with new that you know no one has messed with.

Around here. Academy is $319, Cabelas $349 for NIB SD9VE with 2 16 rd mags.
Occasionally they go on sale for $289 at academy.
So it kinda depends on where you are and average pricing.
Mags are $35 and up. So if it comes with 3 mags then it is a good price.
