I'm not sure if this fits this category. If not please let me know.

S&W owned thompson center has a recall on bolt action rifles. They claim they will send a shipping label to send the rifle back for repair.
I have been trying to get them to send that label since February. It is now almost october and after 8 phone attemps and at least 10 times filling out the online form they have yet to send me the label. They keep telling me I'll have it by email in about 3 days and have offered to send a backup by snail mail that could take up to 2 weeks. I have seen neither.
I feel at this point they have no intention of fixing this rifle and are just giving me a BS story.
Anyone else had any experience with this issue?
Any ideas on how to proceed with this?

Had the same trouble with them on a Encore Barrel. I went ahead and sent the barrel to them. We went back and forth for several months and finally someone called and asked WHY my barrel was at their facility with NO LABEL! After a few choice words to the female on the other end and a few weeks later I got my barrel back and it have been fixed.

Sorry nothing but bad news here. GOOD LUCK !

What a pain, that is the kind of customer service that destroys a companies reputation and for no good reason. In this day and age news of a bad experience travels so far and so fast it makes no sense to not do a better job. Good luck and let us know how it all works out.

After months of trying numerous phone calls to the recall center I tried a round about way. I called S&W custmer service. The nice lady who answered the phone sent me to the voice mail of the Thompson manager.. Ileft a message not expecting any response. Someone called me back within 30 minutes. I told him my story and he was shocked. He said it should only take 5 minutes to send a label. He proved it by sending me a lablel and shipping instructions to my email while I waited. It was like I called a whole different planet than the recall number. He assured me that the repair is not done buy the recall dept. They are just there to take the information. He gave me a new phone number direct to his dept and his extension.

If anyone els is having a similar problem, let me know and I'll pass on the information.

Kevin
