Is there interest out there for the collectable trucks, planes, cars etc. that Smith and Wesson produced and sold at their store and sold in their catelog? Most of the items are "one and done" and they don't make them any more? I can post pics if anyone is interested in looking.

I have no idea of the number of diecast collectors there are but I think it would be a sizable number. We've collected S&W diecast (among almost everything else) for years. I for one would like to see Your photos.

I would like to see your pics . I don,t have the capability to post photos but among other things S&W I have 21 different die cast models and are still looking for more .

I haven't seen anything for sale that I don't have.....of course if I did, I'd have it. :)

I have these plus an electric train and two versions of a horse drawn sleigh.

Don, thanks for the heads up on the P-51. I called & they sold the last one so I'm still looking.
Ko41, very impressive collection. I'm proud for you. I saw a couple in the photos I didn't even know existed.

Ko41, very nice assemblage! Now you have to add the S&W sewing machine, flush valves, dish washer & lawn mower & horse shoes! Several years ago, at the shot show, I met a nice young lady who had just been appointed the VP at S&W in charge of licensing vendors of collectables and anything else on which S&W could make a licensing fee. She asked me what would sell, so I suggested S&W condoms. The could be finished in blue, nickel, and camo. ( Camo being so you can sneek up with them). She thought that was the best idea she had ever heard and would take it up with management. Save your pennies, when they come out, they will be instant collectables. Maybe Roy can letter them! (She did say quality control & testing proceedures would have to be established, and if management approved, she would contact me for S&WCA member's who would volunteer to be test dummies. I'm still waiting.) Ed.
